Fulham Star Ademola Lookman- No Going Back On Decision To Swap England For Nigeria, Adarabiyio Clocks In As Well

0
Fulham rave of the moment Ademola Lookman won’t turn his back on his application to switch allegiance from England to Nigeria at senior international level.
According to Tunde Adelakun, the chief scout of the coach of the senior national team Gernot Rohr, they are waiting for FIFA to complete the process of the switch before handing him a call up.
“Lookman has applied for the switch and all the documents are in order,” Adelakun said, as per AOI last year.
“It’s a positive step forward when he made his commitment to Nigeria and we are just waiting for a Fifa clearance.
“Once the go-ahead is sorted, it will be up to coach Gernot Rohr to decide if his club performance would earn him a call-up”.
His form with Fulham were he is on loan from German side RB Leipzig has led to talks of the 22 making a u-turn on his earlier decision which was made while he was struggling to make an impression with RB Leipzig.
That notion has been squashed by a representative of the forward “ No going back on that. I’m not sure it’s even possible to halt the process without any strong reasons. All documents from Lookman have been signed it’s about FIFA and the English FA doing their own bit”, he said.
He went further to say same situation holds for Lookman’s teammate at Fulham Tosin Adarabiyio who has also indicated his interest to play for Nigeria at senior level despite representing England at various age grade levels.
“ Tosin is in as well and the expectation is that his own won’t take much time like Lookman since he didn’t play in any competitive game or tournament for England at youth level “.

Leicester City Coach Brendan Rodgers- Wilfred Ndidi Could Cost £150 Million

0

Coach of Leicester City Brendan Rodgers has hinted that Nigeria international midfielder Wilfred Ndidi could be worth as high as £150 million if he adds some other qualities to his game.

The coach while speaking ahead of Leicester City’s clash against Chelsea waxed lyrical about the midfield partnership of Ndidi and Youri Tielemans.

Ndidi who has been linked with a likely move away from the team in the summer if they don’t qualify for the UEFA Champions League at the end of the season is seen as one who brings out the best in Tielemans.

He reckon that the duo compliment each other with their various individual qualities and finding a player who possess what both players have will cost as high as £150m. An idea of how much it will cost teams interested in Ndidi to price the 24 year old from the Foxes.

“They play different roles. This is the beauty of this league, there’s so much diversity in terms of styles you play against and systems too,” Rodgers told the club website.

“You have to have flexibility, but those two really complement each other. Wilf had a great game the other night in a high-intensity game with lots of duels, where you’ve got to win your headers, got to be strong, got to be aggressive, got to cover ground. Youri does that too but then [Ndidi] can pass it to Youri and he can play the forward passes.

“There’s a great combination there between the two. If you can get that in one player, he’s probably worth £150M. They both have their own strengths and they complement each other very well.”

0

Coach of Russian side CSKA Moscow has warned Nigerian striker Chidera Ejuke about his chances of getting regular run of games if he doesn’t improve on his output.

Viktor Gancharenko was instrumental in the signing of the 23 year old forward last summer from Dutch side Heerenveen but so far he hasn’t showed why the club splash as high as €12 million to sign him.

He has just two goals and one assists in 19 games in all competitions. A poor return when one considers his undoubted potential hence ahead of the start of the new season, the coach has sounded out a stern warning to the forward.

“ We had players like Ejuke who came in the summer without training with the group in pre season. So we didn’t get what we expect but now we have the winter camp to get them use to our style. It could mean little or no excuse not to deliver”, he said.

Almeria want to return to the La Liga and Sadiq is part of their plans for that to happen”, his representative told Owngoalnigeria.com.

Preview- Liverpool Vs Burnley

0

Premier League champions Liverpool host Burnley at the Anfield in a game from the 18th round of the competition. The Reds find themselves at 4th place in the league standings right now, so for them winning the three points is a must. Lets preview it in these free soccer betting tips.

It sounds difficult to believe it, but Liverpool are without a win in four consecutive matches in the Premier League. For a last time Jurgen Klopps team won against Crystal Palace in London when the champions scored 7 goals.

Few days ago Liverpool had the opportunity to climb back to top, but they only got a point during a 0-0 draw with Manchester United at the Anfield. The manager Jurgen Klopp looked helpless after the game admitting he cant really explain why his team is not scoring goals.

Liverpool are without a goal scored in their last three matches and they scored just one in the last four. Because of this the Reds are now three points behind the leader Manchester United.

Liverpool are not doing bad in defense in the absence of Virgil van Dijk, but their problem remains the lack of goals. Against Manchester United Klopp used his star trio Salah – Mane – Firmino in attack, but for some reason no goals were scored again.

Meanwhile the talented midfielder Thiago returned on the pitch for his Anfield debut, but the Spanish ace did not help as well. In the second half against United Klopp put Divock Origi and Curtis Jones on the pitch, but nothing really changed.

Diogo Jotas injury does not help as well. The Portuguese striker made a huge impression since his arrival from Wolverhampton Wanderers, but now hes sidelined, too. Naby Keita, Joel Matip and Joe Gomez are not avaliable as well.

Despite the championstrouble in attack, Burnley are complete underdogs for this visit to Liverpool. Sean Dyches team is 17th in the standings with 16 points won and they should expect a tough fight for survival in the remaining rounds. Burnley won just four of their matches so far and they have just four points advantage in front of 18th Fulham.

In their last game Burnley lost for a 9th time this season. The Clarets traveled to face West Ham in the capital, but the game ended with a 1-0 win for the Hammers. Because of this the manager Sean Dyche could be doing some changes in his line-up for the next game.

Players like Jay Rodriguez, Matej Vydra and Dwight McNeil entered the pitch from the bench against West Ham, so maybe theres a chance to see them starting at the Anfield. Doing rotations is a must when you have two games in one week.

Thats the free soccer betting tips for the Premier League clash between Liverpool and Burnley on Thursday. The Reds are in a position in which they must win this game at any cost. Liverpool didnt score a single goal in their last three Premier League matches, but now they must put an end to this negative run. Lets see if they can do it.
