Forgotten Nigeria international, Victor Obinna Nsofor scored his first goal of the year 2016 in MSV Duisburg 2-1 win over 1860 Munich.

29 year old Nsofor last scored a goal on the 26th of September 2015 in a 3-2 loss away to Union Berlin and since then has played 10 games before scoring his second goal for the team he joined in the summer.

Nsofor’s goal happened to be the winner for MSV Duisburg but it didn’t take them off the root of the second division table in Germany where they are currently 18th on the 18 team table.

Since joining MSV Duisburg he has played 12 times with just two goals to his name as he bid to get his career back on track following a bad move to Lokomotive Moscow of Russia in 2011.

At MSV Duisburg he is teammate to another Nigerian Kingsley Onuegbu who has three goals from 26 games this season but failed to get on the score sheet despite lasting the entire duration of today’s game against 1860 Munich.
