Super Eagles and Mainz 05 defender Leon Balogun has officially withdrawn from the Nigerian squad for their training camp in France, where they will also play two friendly games against Corsica and Togo.

Balogun pulled up injured in Mainz 05 last Bundesliga game, and the 29 year old had to be substituted less than 20 minutes into their 0-2 loss against Cologne last weekend.

His club officially announced his withdrawal from Nigeria’s international commitment due to the injury, which has now made him a doubt for the AFCON 2019 Qualifiers against South Africa on the 10th of June in Uyo.
