QPR Prolific Nigerian Teen Eze Nets Hat-trick, Takes Goals Tally To Five In Three Games

Fast rising Nigerian teen forward Ebere Eze is slowly earning a reputation for himself as one of the best teenager at the youth set up of English Championship side QPR.

Still working his way up the ladder at the club after only arriving from Millwall this summer on a one year deal. He has taken to life on the pitch quite well and QPR could have a battle on their hand to hang on to him after his deal expire by next summer.

Eze who has scored for the Under-23s of QPR in their last two games, further proved his credentials with three well taken strike to help them beat Crystal Palace 4-1.

18 year old Eze took the match ball home, with two goals in the second half, including a 30- yard screamer into the top right hand corner of Crystal Palace net.

At QPR, he isn’t the only Nigerian on the books of the club with Romeo Akintola also turning heads following his promotion to the U-23s after a stellar campaign for the U-18s last season,

Bonaventure Dennis, who stars for Zorya in Ukraine, Theophilus Solomon and Jamilu Collins of Istra, Aliyu Okechukwu of Split in Croatia lead the duo of Gerard Diyoke and Odion Ajayi.

Only recently Suleiman Mohammed of Spezia who has been linked with a move to Spanish giants Real Madrid joined David Okereke, another of Lawal’s protege at the Serie B side.

The list doesn’t end there as the quartet of Nigeria U-17 World Cup winners Abdullahi Alfa (Ventspills), Dele Alampasu (CD Feirense), Orji Okonkwo (Bologna) and Kingsley Michael who is also close to joining Bologna.

FC Porto sixth Nigerian acquisition Samuel Chukwueze has resumed training with the Portuguese side at the prestigious Centro De Treinos e Formacao Desportiva PortoGaia.

Chelsea winger Victor Moses was among the players, defenders of the Super Eagles of Nigeria were scared of tackling during training before their 1-0 win over Tanzania last weekend, according to a defender of the team.

The dribbling skills of the 25 year old Chelsea man, made him a feared force among defenders who were always praying for him to be on their side during training games.

Moses played for over 70 minutes in the dead rubber AFCON 2017 tie against Tanzania and was by far one of the most dangerous players on the pitch for Nigeria, although he was guilty of wasting so many chances.

Rohr Blows Hot Over Poor State Of Uyo Pitch, Gives Conditions For Team’s Return

Super Eagles coach Gernot Rohr has expressed his displeasure over the condition of the turf at the Godswill Akpabio Stadium in Uyo, where the Super Eagles defeated Tanzania 1-0.

” The stadium is wonderful. It was full for the game. The people love the team$ and they support them but the pitch is not so good. We tried to play well on a bad pitch. But when we want to play good football I think we must have good pitch. I think there are too many games and training being done on the pitch” He said.

Rohr was also unhappy with the floodlight issues that made the team end their Tuesday training session earlier than planned, and also stopped their friendly game with Akwa United with 20 minutes left to play.

Rounding up on the pitch issues he asked the management of the stadium to be more professional in their conduct, if they want the Eagles to continue playing their games in Uyo.

” We had to stop the friendly game with Akwa United after 70 minutes. I think the management of the stadium will have to be more professional if they want to have Nigerian team come to play here”.

Danish SuperLiga side Lyngby has announced the signing of 27 year old Nigerian forward Kim Ojo on a one year deal on a free transfer from Belgian side OH Leuven.

His signing marks the end of the activities of the club in the transfer window according to manager of Lyngby David Nielsen.

” Kim Ojo gives us more options in the way we want to play upfront, he is very good in the air and also in keeping the ball at his feet. He will fit nicely into the wat we want to play football” He said.

” We are lucky to have an attacker like Ojo. It is so because he has not played regular football for sometime now. He is till 3-4 weeks away from top form, but there’s enough time for him to get back to shape”.
