Osaze Odemwingie To West Brom Fan : I’m Still The Boss

Peter Osaze Odemwingie who is clubless following his release from Stoke City still rank himself as one of the best strikers available for club to sign.

He recently turned down a pay as you play contract offer from premiership newcomers Hull City, a sign of how much he believes in his abilities even though he is in his mid 30’s.

35 year old Odemwingie missed out on a moving before the close of the summer transfer window despite his free status, but the former Lille man who has played for West Bromwich Albion, Cardiff City and Stoke City in England isn’t lacking in confidence.

A fan of West Brom, the club where he has his most successful spell since moving to England with 26 goals to his name from two seasons, suggested he re-sign for the team, this time around as an impact substitute.

Reacting to the offer made to him on twitter, the forward told the fan he is still the boss with a tweet that reads.

Germany youth International Emmanuel Iyoha says the political instability in the running of football in Nigeria made him snub the West Africa Nation for Germany, the land of his birth despite his father hailing from Nigeria.

18 year old Iyoha who plays for German second division side Fortuna Dusseldorf featured for Germany at the recently concluded European Under-19 tournament, making one appearance in the six goal thriller against Netherlands, which they later won 5-4 on penalties.

Speaking to Bild in an interview on why he opt to play for Germany instead of Nigeria, the striker who made five appearances for Fortuna Dusseldorf in the German second division last season revealed, instability in Nigeria football played a big part in his decision making.

“I’m a real native of Dusseldorf, as I was born here, although my father is from Nigeria, my mother is a German but I feel German in every way, I presently play for the U19 and am happy because Germany is just right for me, Nigeria is a political unstable country”.

True to the words of the talented teen, the instability in the leadership of Nigeria Football is well documented, especially in the last two years, with two different factions claiming to be in charge of the running of football in the country.

Kelvin Akpoguma who was at a point in time called up to the Nigeria U-23 team has once again reveal his desire is to play for the German national team.

Born in Germany to a Nigerian father, the former captain of the U-20 team of Germany was among 47 foreign based players called up by coach of the Nigeria Olympic team when training started in 2014 but the 20 year old didn’t honour the invitation.

Despite having a satisfactory 1-0 win over Tanzania in his first game as coach of the Nigeria senior national team, Gernot Rohr says there is still work to be done on some areas in the team before the start of qualifiers for the 2018 World Cup.

Rohr upon taking over the team pointed out the defence of the team as one area, that needs urgent attention and already from the performance of Leon Balogun and William Troost Ekong, the German appears to have started work in earnest on the back line.

However from the game against Tanzania, he has found out another aspect of the team that requires urgent attention before the start of the qualifiers for the 2018 World Cup in October.

” If there’s anything I wasn’t happy about, it was the numerous chances we failed to convert, it shows we still have work to do in terms of scoring goals, not much work since we are creating the chances” He said to Owngoalnigeria.com.

” Our conversion rate wasn’t the best considering the amount of chances we created against Tanzania, why you will want to credit their goalkepper for been at his best, our forwards should have done better with the chances they had.

Super Eagles Coach Admits He Would Love To Have Ejaria & Akpom In His Squad For World Cup Qualifiers
