” Libya should take full responsibility for what they did. I expect them to be fined heavily and to also lose the match”.

I Am Frustrated – Out Of Favour Super Eagles Winger Cries Out

These are not the best of times for one cap Nigeria international winger Nathan Tella at German Bundesliga champions Bayer Leverkusen, OwnGoalNigeria.com reports.

Tella won the league and cup with the German side last season in what was his first season at the club following his transfer from English championship side Southampton. He made a total of 42 appearances in all competitions picking up six assists and also scored seven goals.

Tipped to have more game time this season, that hasn’t been the case for the 25 year old, and in an interview with German newspaper Bild he voiced out his frustration at not getting enough minutes, although he said he got assurances from the coach Xabi Alonso that all will be fine.

“It’s frustrating, I’ll be honest, but I spoke to the coach. He [Alonso] assured me that I’ll get opportunities and that I have to be patient,” he told BILD. “When I get a chance, I have to show myself. I think I’ve done well, and I also think I’m training well.”

His lack of game time is partly responsible for his omission in the list of players who were called up to the camp of the senior national team of Nigeria for the recently concluded international round of games. His sole cap for Nigeria came in the 1-1 draw against Zimbabwe in the world cup qualifiers.

Egyptian Commentator Calls On Arabs In CAF To Back Libya After Suspended Game Against Super Eagles

0

A call has been made to the Arabs who are in the Confederation of African Football (CAF) to back Libya in the dispute over the suspended game with the senior national team of Nigeria which was supposed to be played on Tuesday in the Libyan city of Benghazi.

However upon arrival in Libya they were left unattended to at the airport for a period of over 16 hours, forcing them to return back to Nigeria abandoning the game.

Confederation of African Football (CAF) decided to suspend the game from Tuesday fixtures, and announced that the case has been referred to the disciplinary committee.

Veteran Egyptian commentator Issam El Shawali during his commentary on the Egypt-Mauritania match, which intended 1-0 in favour of the Egyptians said members of CAF executive committee, who are Arabs should ensure that the judgement favours Libya.

“The Nigerian team arrived in Libya and withdrew after they were treated in the same way, meaning they hit me and cried and complained before me. This is what the Nigerians did. Beware of the Nigerian lobby within CAF”, he said.

“The African Union must award the match points to the brotherly Libyan team and punish Nigeria for withdrawing. The law must be applied. Nigeria arrived in Libya and decided not to play the match, and the law must be applied.

” The Arab members of the CAF Executive Committee must stand by our sister Libya and support them. If everyone arrives to a country and then makes excuses about the reception conditions, flight delays, etc. and decides to withdraw, things will stop. The law must be applied and points must be awarded to the brotherly Libyan team”.

Ex Super Eagles Coach Rohr Out To End Libya’s Hope Of Qualifying For AFCON, Picks Nigeria As Group Winners

0

Former coach of the senior national team of Nigeria Gernot Rohr says his team will pick the second available ticket from their Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers group with Nigeria currently leading the pack, OwnGoalNigeria.com reports.

Rohr’s team are currently second in the group, one point behind Nigeria, who have a game at hand following the decision of CAF to suspend their game against Libya after they were left unattended to for over 18 hours at the airport.

Smarting from his team’s loss 1-2 loss to Rwanda, their second in the series, the coach played down the impact the defeat could have on the chances of his team going through insisting that they will finish in second spot behind Nigeria, the team they will be hosting next in the series when it resumes in November.

The coach is looking beyond the fixture with his former side and has his sights on the game away against Libya as the game for them to seal their spot in the qualifiers, with Nigeria hosting Rwanda the same day.

“The positive points is that in the direct confrontation, it’s still Benin who is ahead. We have our destiny in our hands and I think we will finish second in their group. We are convinced that we can do it”, he said.

Indiscipline – Super Eagles Invitee Banished From First Team By French Ligue 1 Giants

0

French Ligue 1 side Lyon have sent one time Super Eagles invitee Gift Orban out of the first team following an act of indiscipline according to the technical director of the team Pierre Sage, OwnGoalNigeria.com reports.

Orban joined the Ligue 1 side in the January transfer window early this year but has failed to replicate the form that made him a huge hit in Belgium with Gent. Where he scored a total of 21 goals in 22 games under a period of six months.

A row over his nationality with Togo claiming he used another identity when he represented them at senior national team level in a CHAN qualifier, denied him the chance of making his debut for Nigeria two years ago.

At Lyon he has struggled badly leading to talks over an exit in the January transfer window. He had made his case more complicated after refusing to train with the rest of the players who have been getting limited game time. He shunned the session meant for players who didn’t play against Scottish side Rangers in the Europa League.

He wasn’t alone in the act with Cote d’Ivoire ace Wilfred Zaha also axed from the first team for a similar offense. Both players will henceforth train with the youth side with the club set to make a decision on their future when the transfer window opens in January.

Liars: Nigerian Government Did Not Apologize To Libya Over Super Eagles Detention Fiasco – FG Clears The Air

0

On October 15, 2024, the Libya Observer published an erroneous report to gain political leverage and cause disaffection amongst continental football administrators and fans.

The publication by the Libya Observer, which misrepresents the phone correspondence between Nigeria’s Minister of Foreign Affairs and the East-based Government’s Foreign Minister, is a clear case of misinformation.

The fact of the matter was that the CDA of the Government of National Unity was summoned to the Ministry to seek an immediate end to the unfortunate incident. However, not much diplomatic headway was made during the meeting with the Acting Charge of Affairs, Imad Mohammed Matooq Aboud, as they insisted that it was not under the jurisdiction of Tripoli, which they represented, but that of the Eastern Government in Benghazi.

This prompted the Minister to take immediate action by contacting the Foreign Minister of the Eastern Government, Abdelhadi Lahweej, to intervene and ensure that the detention ended. After that, the aircraft was given the necessary permits to fly, and aviation fuel was accessed.

Both Ministers agreed that the matter should be de-escalated immediately. Even when Lahweej insisted on rehashing the untruth about the treatment of Libyan players in Nigeria, Amb Tuggar once again corrected the misinformation about the mistreatment of Libyan players during the Nigerian encounter.

He did not apologise or regret the treatment of Libyan officials and players because the account was inaccurate.

Lahweej proposed a joint statement, which the Ministry rejected because it erroneously misrepresented the facts of the incident.

Above all, the federal government of Nigeria only shares a diplomatic relationship with the government of the National Accord and not with the Eastern government.

Nigeria remains unequivocal in expressing its displeasure and disappointment with how the Nigerian Football Federation officials were treated in Libya. It calls on the Confederation of African Football to urgently ensure that its Disciplinary Board investigates the matter and imposes appropriate sanctions based on its statutes.

Clinical, to the point, and with a keen eye for goal, Orban has rapidly become one of the more exciting young prospects in Nigeria. Consecutive performances in Belgium attracted the interest of several leading clubs across Europe.

  • Victor Boniface

Presently physically a poacher, Boniface has been a feature of most matches he has played in the German Bundesliga. He can also be used as a center striker and a winger, hence very utilitarian for any team.

  • Tolu Arokodare

He has been a common feature in the striker position in the French league, tall, and athletic. Powerful in presence, he is indeed a keeper and defenders’ nightmare with his sparkling goal-scoring form.

  • Akinkunmi Amoo

An elusive winger blessed with great skills, Amoo has cut his teeth already in Europe and will thus be a threat with his pace and creativeness upfront.

  • Samuel Chukwueze

Although he is already a household name, Chukwueze is still in his early 20s, with his feet still wet, learning his game in the Spanish League. Of course, he is still one of the most exciting young Nigerian footballers of 2024 because of his blistering speed and brilliant technical ability.

Nigerian Young Footballers in Europe

  • Carney Chukwuemeka (Chelsea, England)

Although he has represented England at youth levels, Chukwuemeka is still eligible for Nigeria and is one of the Nigerian young footballers making waves in the Premier League.

  • Folarin Balogun – AS Monaco, France

Hailing from Nigeria, Balogun is yet another young gun in European football. Ever since his gimmicks in the French league, he has gone on to become one of the important players for Monaco and will probably take his game to the next level in 2024. Just as Balogun changed the perspective of France teams for Nigerian footballers, so is 1win changing the perspective of people on betting by changing the industry and bringing in the latest technological advancements.

Challenges and Opportunities for Young Talents

In spite of all the rave about the rise of the young teams, the way ahead remains strewn with obstacles as these young talented Nigerian footballers:

  • Quality facilities are hardly available for use in Nigeria, and most of the young players are often thrust into the professional game before being well prepared.
  • Pressure from early success: With fame and expectations comes immense pressure that could affect a young player’s mental health.
  • The competition in Europe doesn’t make life easier; getting into the first teams of top-class European clubs is never easy, while most of the young Nigerians must fight for playing time with established stars.

However, great opportunities outnumber the challenges: there is much room for growth and success with the rise in the number of  Nigerian young footballers playing in Europe.

Know the Tips for Playing Progressive Jackpot Slots

0

The most rewarding types of casino games that you play are progressive jackpot slots. These games have the potential to change your life, with jackpots that increase every time anyone spins until someone wins. Yet getting your hands on that progressive jackpot takes more than fortune. The proper strategy you will improve the odds of hitting that elusive jackpot. Here, you will discuss some tips on how to play progressive jackpot slots.

Know the Mechanics of Progressive Jackpots

The truth is, you might want to familiarize yourself with those before diving into the concept of an overview of progressive slots. Progressive jackpots, unlike the regular ones, are part of a network on several machines or online rooms. Every time a player at the casino makes a bet, it adds that extra bit to the jackpot you see at their site. As this can result in massive prizes, you should know that the odds of winning are usually lower compared to those in the same slot gacor with fewer feature-rich bonus rounds.

Avoid Games with Large Jackpots

Sure you may want to go out for the biggest jackpots but guess what, there are also such things as small progressive jackpots and these tend to hit more often. The biggest jackpots also take longer to win, because it takes more players and more spins. Smaller Jackpots: One of the most important things to remember is, that the smaller jackpot you pick to win, then your chances are highest that you will be considered for a progressive gift also it may not amount much.

Play the Maximum Bet

Many progressive slots require you to bet the max to qualify for the jackpot. You will get the standard wins with small wagers if you play casinos online but to win the jackpot, participate less than five dollars. The best way to boost your odds of a jackpot is by always playing the maximum number of coins or lines, which the Slot Monster game lets you know.

Look for High RTP Games

The slot games in question all have a Return to Player (RTP) percentage. The generally accepted definition is that it refers to the rate of all money wagered on a game that is paid back as winnings over time. While the RTP on progressive slots is typically lower than regular slots, some games payout better than others. Even so, always check if there is a progressive jackpot slot with a higher RTP than the average one as that might lead to more frequent smaller prizes while you are sitting through hundreds of spins in the hope of winning the jackpot.

Use the Bonuses and Promotions

There are numerous offers involving bonuses or promotions in most online Casinos, meaning you can get some extra spins and win extra money to play on progressive slots. A player can get higher chances without using more money of their own by exhausting these offers details. It should be noted, however, that some bonuses may have play-through requirements before you can withdraw any winnings so always ensure to check the terms and condition.

Know When to Stop

As important as when you fold a winning hand as when not. When you have played for a while again without winning or you are at your budget limit, and then stop. Progressive slot gacor are thrilling and chasing losses is a common pitfall, so it pays to know when you should quit.

Understanding how progressive jackpots work, setting your budget, picking the right games, and staying patient can help boost your odds of winning even while enjoying jackpot game excitement. Tempting as the jackpot may be, always remember that responsible gambling is paramount.
