0

Manchester United assistant coach Steve McClaren says he is open to the idea of leaving the English Premier League giants if he is given the job of the coach of the senior national team of Nigeria, OwnGoalNigeria.com reports.

McCLaren is in the running for the job of the senior national team of Nigeria but he is facing stiff competition from the duo of Tom Saintfeit and Eric Chelle with the latter seen as the front runner for the job made vacant by the exit of Finidi George.

Last week the 63 year old was grilled by the technical committee of the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) , and during the interaction he was asked what will be the fate of his job with Manchester United if he is given the Super Eagles job.

” Of course we asked him and he made it clear that he won’t have any problem leaving his role with Manchester United. I really think like Chris Houghton who was at Ghana for a while he wants to be head coach again and a national team is the best bet”, a member of the committee revealed.

Speaking on if the football house will be able to pay the wages of the coach, he said not for once was money an issue during their conversation as the coach isn’t motivated by it rather he wants a crack at international football as head coach.

” That wasn’t an issue and it won’t be any issue if he gets the job. He has made enough money in his life and the passion to manage at the international level is what is driving him”, he concluded.

Malian Players Threaten To Quit National Team If Super Eagles Coach Designate Chelle Isn’t Reinstated

0

Players of the senior national team of Mali have threatened to quit the team if the football federation fails to bring back sacked coach Eric Chelle who is the odds on favorite to be named the coach of the senior national team of Nigeria, OwnGoalNigeria.com understands.

Chelle was dismissed as coach of the Malian side after the disappointment of the last round of games in the word cup qualifiers, where they were beaten 1-2 by Ghana at home before playing a 0-0 draw away to Madagascar.

The results led to his exit as coach despite all he achieved in the two years he handled the team. They lost just two games under his guidance one of which was the defeat against Cote d’Ivoire in the AFCON on penalties and the qualifiers loss to Ghana.

Nigeria have him high on their list among potential replacements for Finidi George, who left his role as coach, following poor results in the world cup qualifiers where they were beaten 1-2 by Benin Republic after drawing 1-1 at home against South Africa.

That plans is facing huge opposition from the players of the Malian team who are pushing the federation to bring back the 47 year old, else they will quit the team as he was key in their decision to pledge their allegiance to the team.

Most of the players were born in France but Chelle used his links and reputation to lure them to Mali. His exit which the players feel is harsh has made them turn against the FA , who are now pushing to make amends by reaching out to the representative of the coach.

However it seems Chelle has gotten the approval from top brass from the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) that he will be the next coach of the Nigerian team. The deal is expected to be wrapped up in two weeks time.

Manchester United playerd their first pre season game yesterday against Norwegian side Rosenborg as part of preparation for the start of a new season, OwnGoalNigeria.com reports.

The English FA Cup winners were beaten 1-0 by a fitter and more hungrier Rosenborg side who have already played 14 games as against their opponents, who only resumed training last week.

Coach of Manchester United Erik Ten Hag gave first team debut to a host of young players at the club as he made wholesome changes to the team that started the game at the half time break. One of the players who played in the game was Habeeb Ogunneye.

Ogunneye who first came to limelight when he made the senior squad for a league game against Sheffield United in April is a right back, who rose through the ranks of the youth team to the first team. Last season was his first with the U21s of the team.

Yesterday the 18 year old got 45 minutes action and after the game , we picked up an interview where he spoke about his Nigerian roots and eligibility for the senior national team of Nigeria. He has only represented England at U17 level and that came in 2021.

” Not many players have the luxury of picking a country to play for. I have that and when the time is right I will make the best decision for my senior international career”, he was quoted as saying in 2022.

The search for a new coach for the senior national team of Nigeria appears to have come to an end with the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) finally settling for one of the three coaches shortlisted for the job, OwnGoalNigeria.com understands.

Some sources in France say former coach of Mali Eric Chelle is set to be named the new coach of the senior national team of Nigeria in two weeks time, after turning down the chance to return to his previous role as the coach of Mali.

Chelle was sacked as the coach of the Malian side after two year at the helm, but a revolt by the players forced the football federation into a U-Turn and approaches were made for him to return back to his role.

However he appears to have move on and has his sight on the coaching job of Nigeria, after meeting with top officials of the NFF last week during a meeting for the engagement of a new coach for the senior national team of Nigeria.

He is said to also have the approval and backing of a former president of the NFF who is convinced that the coach who led Mali to the last AFCON has what it takes to rescue the Super Eagles fading hopes of making it to the next world cup in 2026.

The NFF like we reported are also sizing up two other options in Steve McClaren and Tom Saintfeit with Herve Renard not seen as a viable option due to his financial demands.

A member of the technical committee of the football house declined to make comments when contacted on the news, but went ahead to say the former Lens defender ticks the right boxes for the kind of coach that can make a positive impact in the team.

According to the member, the final decision will be made next week and any report for now is just speculation until an official announcement is made by the NFF.

New Napoli Coach Explains Potential Agreement For Osimhen’s Departure From Napoli, Misses Training

0

Head coach of Italian Serie A side Napoli Antonio Conte has given an update on the potential exit of Victor Osimhen from the team before the close of the summer transfer window, OwnGoalNigeria.com reports.

Osimhen is free to leave the club before the end of the summer transfer window but Napoli want a fee in the region of over €100m for his transfer, and it has made his exit a lot difficult especially as he didn’t have the kind of season that powered them to the league title last time out.

Back at the team’s pre season camp , Osimhen who is among the players gearing up to the demands and methods of the new coach still has his sights fixed on an exit from the team, which Conte addressed on Saturday.

Explaining the situation surrounding Napoli’s transfer window, Conte said: “After my signature, the most difficult thing was to realign the whole situation and put Napoli back in the centre of all the important business.

“The situation now allows us to stay one step ahead thanks to everyone here, the club and thanks to the players who have understood. I expressed myself very clearly and with a vision that is hard to go against. Now the club is back in the spotlight.

Talking about Osimhen specifically, Conte added:

“We are talking about Victor as a professional, an excellent, top player.

“I spoke to him and he knows that absolutely nothing has changed. He belongs to Napoli and he knows that those who belong to Napoli have to work hard and have the right attitude, even if there is this sort of agreement, that we still don’t know how it will end.

“He’s here with a smile, and what counts at the moment is the training this afternoon and the attitude with me and my colleagues.”

Meanwhile Osimhen won’t be involved in the team’s training for the next two days as he picked up a muscle strain after the first day of working with the coach, who is known for his hard hitting training methods in pre season.

The Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) has stepped up plans to engage a new coach for the senior national team of Nigeria by interviewing three shortlisted candidates for the job, OwnGoalNigeria.com understand.

Nigeria is without a substantive coach following the exit of Finidi George after the disappointment of the last round of games in the 2026 world cup qualifiers, where the team were held to a 1-1 draw by South Africa before losing 1-2 to Benin Republic.

Finidi who only replaced Jose Peseiro who guided them to the final of the AFCON where they were beaten 1-2 by the host Cote d’Ivoire has since moved on to a new role of the head coach of Nigeria Professional Football League side Rivers United.

A search for his replacement is something the NFF wants to accomplish before the next round of international games in September, when the qualifiers for the AFCON returns.

Top of the list is Herve Renard of the women team of France, the two times AFCON winner with Zambia and Cote d’Ivoire respectively have been sounded out but there are fears and concerns about meeting up with his wages, and also the fact that he is a target for other countries who are also aware of the fact that he will be free at the end of the Olympics.

A top candidate for the job is the present assistant coach of Manchester United Steve McClaren, the 63 year old is keen on the job and reportedly met with top members of the football house, before he was grilled by the technical committee.

His choice is somehow dicey with some members not at home with his lack of knowledge of African football, and even though his wages won’t be an issue as he is willing to take a pay cut , there are still fears that he will be almost as expensive as Renard.

It has made former coach of Gambia Tom Saintfeit as the early favourite with the 51 year old willing to leave his position as the coach of the Philippines for the Super Eagles despite the fact that he only picked up the job early this year. He is said to be in the range of the budget of the NFF.

Well travelled and armed with a strong knowledge of African football, the nominee for the CAF coach of the year in 2022 and 2023 respectively was among the coaches grilled for the vacant position. In 2022 he was also voted as the second runner up in the coach of the year award in Belgium organised by the country’s FA.

A decision is expected to be made by the end of this month. The biggest omission was Antonio Conceição the coach who lost just two games in the two years he was at the helm as coach of the national team of Cameroon. He was the early favourite to succeed his fellow Portuguese but there have been no contact with the NFF per what we exclusively gathered.

Casino Design, Marketing and Architecture

0

When you walk into a casino, you are immediately drawn to the design and architecture. But did you know that all of these aesthetics are designed to engage you in the game? An iGaming expert Aleksandra Maj from KasynoHEX Poland is familiar with these different techniques and has visited many physical casinos. Casino design and architecture play a crucial role in creating an experience that keeps visitors coming back.

The Role of Psychology in Casino Design

Casino design is not just about creating a visually appealing space, it is about understanding and influencing human behaviour. Designers use a branch of psychology known as environmental psychology to create a space where people feel comfortable. They can use design tricks to make you choose a specific type of game or even to use specific payment in the casino like kasyno online revolut.

1. Layout and flow: Casinos are designed to encourage movement, development and exploration. The layout often resembles a maze, with curving paths and placed gaming areas to keep players engaged.

2. Lighting and sound: Lighting is managed in casinos to the smallest detail with the aim of improving the experience. A bright light illuminates the areas with gaming tables and slot machines to attract your attention and create a thrill; in contrast, the areas containing comfortable lounges and bars, soft lighting prevails. The sound is just as important and is presented by rhythmic music and the sound of winning, which are presented by ringing of bells and jingling of the coins, Aleksandra Maj.

3. Color Schemes: Gamblers have also been found to be subjected to color psychology exercises a lot. Shiny colours like red and gold are usually used in large measures because it is thought that it will create the emotion of excitement and energy. Pale colouration is adopted in areas that are selected for more passive activities such as eating and sleeping resorts like restaurants and hotel rooms respectively.

Architectural Elements

1. Grand Entrances: A threshold of a casino is intended to be unique and create a first good impression of the entire establishment. Tall doors and windows, beautiful lamps and other interior accessories, and rich and elegant inventiveness give guests the spirit of luxury from the very entrance.

2. Open Spaces vs. Intimate Areas: The gaming floor is usually brightly lit and very large, thus ensuring large crowds and visibility of all the games when implemented, but there are sections that are made for the big players or those who want some quiet time. Main gaming areas: VIP rooms and other special zones that are furnished with luxurious materials ensure people’s complete seclusion.
3. Integration with Other Amenities: Despite their names, most of today’s casinos come equipped with ancillary facilities for instance hotels, restaurants, spas and recreational centers. These elements are incorporated in a manner that all the activities are under one roof and this architectural design makes it very easy for the guests.

Thematic Design

In addition, many casinos incorporate the use of themes to give them a distinct character as well as to offer a quality experience. They can cover historical periods (Egypt, Rome, Middle Ages, castles), geographical regions (Africa, South America, Asia), or different time periods of the day (night, evening, night). It is truly a thematic design which encompasses every aspect of the physical layout of the casino, including the interior design of the facility, the uniforms of the employees, and even specific menu titles and descriptions.

Technology and Innovation

But as technology advances, it becomes a substantial factor to consider in casino design and architecture. Flexible media spaces are zoning by the use of digital signage, interactive technologies and smart lighting. Virtual reality (VR) and augmented reality (AR) are already becoming the possibilities to further engage in games different from the typical slot machines and tables.

Sustainability in Casino Design

Of all the architectural trends that emerged in recent years, the concepts of sustainability have gained the major prominence in the casino industry. Contemporary casinos are also embracing the green building principles and the use of technical substances in construction. Increasing complexity of the lighting equipment and increasing ecological requirements for water supplies, as well as specific requests regarding the building materials, make energy-efficient systems mandatory in many new casino constructions.

Conclusion

The structure of a casino and its layout are very important when it comes to the success of a casino. Knowing the psychological buttons of their visitors, casinos design the atmospheres not only beautiful, but attractive from the point of psychological stimulation; elements of comfort, excitement, and luxury are worked into the aesthetics of the gambling facilities. When the technological aspect relates to the architectural plan and sustainability concerns specify the tendencies in-designing a casino, one can hardly expect anything but even more fascinating in the future. Whether you are going to the casino for fun, simply walk in, or if you are a professional and are out to play, there are several factors put in place to make you feel like going to the casino is an experience to be cherished.
