Nigerian duo of Jacob Njoku and Anthony Lokosa were both on the score sheet in an 8 goal thriller cup game in Israel, which ended 5-3 in favour of Hapoel Petah Tikva with Njoku scoring a hattrick while Lokosa was among the goals for Beitar Tel Aviv.
Njoku who had a two weeks trial at Liverpool in the summer, won the man of the match award for his overall display that he capped with three goals while Lokosa picked up two assists and also got on the score sheet once for the losing team.
The duo have all been experiencing good fortunes in Israel this season, with Njoku particularly living up to the tag that made FC Porto had him as a trainee before his move to Al-Oruba of the UAE after he failed to bag a professional deal with the Portuguese giants.
Lokosa spotted by Israeli scout David Ouziel who has been very active and effective in transferring Nigerian teen abroad is also one of the top peformers for his team this season, a season after playing in the youth league.
