19 year old Nigerian defender Chidozie Awaziem will most definitely leave FC Porto on loan in January in search of first team football after falling out of favour since the coming of coach Nuno Espirito Santo.
Last season Awaziem made a total of 12 appearances in all competition in his breakthrough season at the Estadio Di Dragao but this season he has been relegated to the B team.
He has made 14 appearances for the B team who are competing in the second division in Portugal, and his disciplinary record is one of the worst in the division.
Known for his hard tackling, he has picked up seven yellow cards and a red card already with just 14 games played, close to last season when he picked up 10 caution in games for the main team and the B team.
“Hopefully Awaziem will leave in January, we are working on a loan move for him. He needs to start playing regularly in the top division, that way he will progress the way he ought to” Alhaji Izul Arab who mentored the Porto prospect while in Nigeria told Owngoalnigeria.com.
