Portuguese giants FC Porto transferred two players to French side Nantes as part of the deal for the coach of the French side to join them.

Joris Kayembe and Chidozie Awaziem were the players sent to Nantes by Porto, but while Kayembe was signed permanently by the French side, Awaziem joined the team on a season long loan deal.

Nantes had wanted the deal for Awaziem to include the option to buy permanently next summer but Porto insisted on a straight loan deal for the 20 year old, which will see him return to them next summer.

The reasons from what we gathered has to do with his buy out clause pegged at €20m by Porto when he put pen to paper on a five year deal in 2016, after making the grades to the main team.

Furthermore Porto still rate the newly capped senior national team of Nigeria defender highly, believing he still has a future with the team despite his lack of game time with the first team last season.
