OFFICIAL: Emem Eduok Joins Otigba At Turkish Side Kasimpasa

Esperance of Tunisia forward Emem Eduok has completed a move to Turkish top division side Kasimpasa, on a deal reportedly worth three years.

The 22 year old was deemed surplus to requirement at Esperance, which lead to news about him moving to another club and after the breakdown of his move to Adanaspor, he has pitched tent with Kasimpasa.

Eduok has been at Esperance for three seasons, but had an injury blighted career last time out with the Tunisian side, which lead to him featuring in few games.

At Kasimpasa, he will be united with Hungarian-Nigerian Kenneth Otigba who also joined the club, that had another Kenneth Omeruo on their books on loan from Chelsea last season this summer.

His transfer to Turkey has further swelled the number of Nigerian players in the tax free country with as much as 10 players from the West African nation set to play in various level of Turkish football next season.

Italian Serie A side AS Roma has contacted four players of Football Academy Abuja which the club has agreed to sign to intimate them of the day they will resume at the club.

Rabiu Rilwan Onyidamola, Ani Emmanuel,Haruna Adamu Mohammed and Chukwuemeka Emmanuel have been contacted by the Serie A club to resume training at the start of next month.

The quartet will join up with the U18s of the team, from where their progress will be monitored for promotion to the Primavera side in view of a step up to the first team.

” Roma contacted us last week and this week, we will know when the boys will be leaving for Italy, for sure it will be at the start of next month”, a club source told Owngoalnigeria.com.

Roma agreed a partnership with the Abuja based Academy following the success of Sadiq Umar and Nura Abdullahi who all started from the Nigeria Academy.

” Unlike Sadiq and Nura who went straight to the Primavera before heading to the first team, the four of them will start from a cadre lower, as they are just 16 and 17 year old”.

Salisu Yusuf And Imama Confused As Rohr Arrives In Nigeria With Assistants

The role of Salisu Yusuf and Imama Amapakabo with the Super Eagles of Nigeria is complicated as German coach Genort Rohr arrived in Nigeria with his assistants.

Imama and Yusuf were appointed as assistants to Rohr by the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF), but the German came in with his fitness trainer and technical assistant.

Salisu Yusuf is supposed to be the first assistant to the German, with Imama acting as second assistant as employed by the NFF, but Rohr arrived in Nigeria with long term assistants, Jean Lucs and Nabil.

His coming with assistants was part of the provisions of his contract with the NFF, when he signed his deal to coach the senior national team of Nigeria.

As expected, the German will rely more on his trusted allies, which could reduce the role the Nigerian duo of Imama and Yusuf will have in the team.

Sadiq Umar Benched In Roma’s Stalemate, Heads For Medicals With Bologna

Prolific Nigeria youth international Sadiq Umar was named on the bench by Roma manager Luciano Spalleti for their weekend clash which ended 2-2 against Cagliari.

His bench appearance raised suggestions that he could stay at the Serie A side despite being heavily linked with a loan move away from the team, to gain match experience.

The 19 year old has found games hard to come by since the axing of manager Rudi Garcia, as his replacement Spalleti has sparingly used him since taking over in January.

However his strong showing for Nigeria at the Olympic has alerted top clubs to his availability, and according to a source close to the lanky forward, he will have medicals with Bologna as reported by Owngoalnigeria.com two months ago.

” All is agreed for him to join Roma, he will join them on a co-ownership deal, his medical has already been agreed, what delayed the deal what the percentage of the co-ownership deal which has now been agreed” He told Owngoalnigeria.com.

Last season, he made six appearances for Roma in the Serie A and scored twice, while he found the back of the net 17 times for the Primavera side of the Rome based outfit.

Michael Eneramo romance with life in Turkey has been extended for another year after the transfer of the power playing former Super Eagles forward to Manisaspor.

Relegated Manisaspor snap up the forward on a free transfer following his release by Sivasspor at the end of last season, following an injury hit season where he managed just 10 appearances with just a goal to his name.

Since leaving Tunisia in 2010, the 30 year old has been in Turkey where he has had two separate spells with Sivasspor, with Besiktas, Istanbul Basaksehir and Karabukspor his other teams in the country.

In 2011/2012, he scored 15 goals while at Sivasspor, the goal tally remains his best since he moved to Turkey, and his worst return in front of goal was the 2013/2014 season, where he scored just once from four appearance in his first and only season at Besiktas.

German Bundesliga Side Hoffenheim Make Late Bid For Prolific Nigerian Teen Onyekuru

According to reports sourced by Owngoalnigeria.com, AS Eupen 19 year old Nigerian forward Henry Onyekuru is a subject of a late bid from German Bundesliga side Hoffenheim.

Hoffenheim are reportedly in the market for a forward and view the former Aspire Academy trainee as one of the options that could bolster their attack.

The forward who is tied to the newly promoted Belgian side till the summer of 2020, has been one of the shining light in Belgium after just five games with two goals and two assists.

Onyekuru was asked about the interest at a recent pre match conference and although the forward ruled out an immediate move, it appears he could yet move before the end of the current transfer window.

However if a deal can’t be reached, they are reports a transfer in January could be on the cards particularly if he maintains his current form.

Argentine Club Registers Okiki Afolabi, Silent On Tiongoli Tonbara

Argentina top division side Atletico Talleres de Cordoba has registered Nigerian forward Okiki Afolabi ahead of their campaign in the league this season, however there’s no report on his Nigerian compatriot at the team Tiongoli Tonbara.

The former Sunshine stars forward left Nigeria few months ago alongside Tonbara, who was then a member of the Nigeria U23s as a player of Bayelsa United for Argentina courtesy of Argentine agent Marcelo Houseman.

They started by testing with Racing Club but later left for Talleres de Cordoba, where it appears only Okiki stand a chance of signing with the club.

Okiki has played in three test games for Talleres and has won some section of the fans over with his all action style of play, which made him a feared force in the Nigeria Professional League before his move abroad.

Prior to leaving for Argentina, he scored 13 goals in the Nigerian league for Sunshine Stars and despite leaving the club two months ago, he still remains their top scorer.

Henty Ezekiel Ends Eight Month Goal Drought With First Goal For Lokomotive Moscow

Former AC Milan youth teamer Henty Ezekiel ended a six months goal drought by hitting the winner for his Russian side Lokomotiv Moscow to give them a 2-1 win over FC Krasnodar.

Ezekiel’s last league goal was on the 2nd of December 2015 while he was still at Slovenian side Olimpija, two months before his €5m move to Lokomotive Moscow.

Since joining Lokomotive Moscow in February he has failed to find the back of the net in 12 games before today’s tie, when he struck what ended as the winner in the 56th minute of play.

Moses Simon Brace Up For Tanzania Clash With First Goal Of The Season For Gent

21 year old Nigerian forward Moses Simon opened his goal account for the season in Gent 2-2 draw against Anderlecht in a Belgian top division league game.

Simon restored parity for Gent in the 21st minute three minutes after they have gone behind, in the star game of the Belgian league this weekend.

The Nigeria international was booked for his excessive celebrations after his goal, a goal that ended a run of over four months without a goal for the former AS Trencin star.

Rohr Says NFF Are Yet To Provide Accomodation For Him

Newly appointed coach of the Super Eagles Genort Rohr is yet to be given the accommodation he was promised by the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF), as contained in his contract.

Rohr will arrive Nigeria tonight, ahead of his first training session on Tuesday with the Nigeria senior national team, in preparation for the dead rubber AFCON 2017 tie against Tanzania in Uyo.

However, it appears he will head back to France after the game instead of staying behind to prosecute his plans of scouting local talents from the league in preparation for the first World Cup 2018 qualifiers tie against Zambia.

The reason why he could be heading back is according to him, the accomodation he was promised when he signed his two year deal to coach Nigeria is not yet ready.

Osasu Obayiuwana who has been keeping in touch with the German, posted on twitter, a bit of the chat he had with the new Super Eagles boss, where the manager made it known that he is ready to reside in Nigeria once the accommodation is ready.

” I am looking forward to settling down in Abuja, as soon as my apartment, as promised by the NFF is arranged” He said to Osasu.

” I will be watching league matches across Nigeria to search for talents, in addition to using the players in Europe”.
