Eintracht Braunschweig summer signing Suleiman Abdullahi, has taken to life at his new club like a duck to water judging by his goal scoring run in pre season games.

Abdullahi took his pre season tally for the second division German side to six with a goal in their 4-1 thrashing of French side Bastia, In front of the home fans of the ambitious German side.

It took just four minutes for the former Flying Eagles forward to endear himself to the home fans with a smart finish from a knockdown at the edge of the opponent’s box to open scoring for his side.

Signed from Viking of Norway, fans of the Bundesliga side will be hoping he continue his free scoring run, when they play their first league game against Wuerzburger Kickers on the 7th of August.

Stephen Odey of Mountain of Fire Ministries was the notable absentee from the Nigeria Professional Football League All Star Team, in the list of 25 players released by coach Salisu Yusuf for the La-Liga World Challenge/Ramon de Carranza Trophy.

Salisu Yusuf listed 23 players in the list with Enyimba’s duo of Dare Ojo and Chinedu Udoji placed on standby to take the list of players to 25 in the team that will play notable teams like Valencia and Malaga.

Aside Odey, inform Nasarawa United forward Abdulrahman Bashir was also omitted from the list despite having 12 goals which includes six in his last six games.

Organisers of the event,LaLiga released Fixtures, time and venue of the NPFL All-Star tour which shows that their first match against LaLiga side, Valencia CF will hold inside the Alzira Stadium in the city of Valencia. The match will hold on August 10 with kick-off slated for 9.30pm Spanish time.

The NPFL All-Star team will then join the Trofoe Carranza tournament in Cadiz with their first match against EUFA Champions League and LaLiga runners-up, Atletico Madrid on August 12 at 6.30pm Spaish time.

The next fixture of the NPFL All-Star in the Carranza tournament is against Malaga CF three hours after the tie against Atletico Madrid on same August 12.

Should the NPFL All-Star make it beyond the group stage, then they will play a in the finals and should they lose in the group stage, they will also play against the other losers. All the post-group stage matches will hold on August 13.

According to reports exclusively gathered by Owngoalnigeria.com, Head Coach of the Super Eagles Salisu Yusuf has concluded plans to have five players from the Nigeria Under-20s train with the Super Eagles.

Yusuf wants the players in camp ahead of the September 2nd tie against Tanzania Nigeria’s Final AFCON 2017 qualifiers, which has no significance as Nigeria are already out of the race to be at next year Africa Cup of Nations.

The coach who will later this month lead a team of players from the Nigeria Professional Football League (NPFL) to Spain for a pre season tournament has pencilled down top striker Victor Osimhen,Arsenal bound Kelechi Nwakali and defence hardman Lukman Zakari to train with the Eagles.

” Already Salisu is planning for the future, the Flying Eagles kids will train with the team ahead of the Tanzania game, it’s not like they are in contention to play but he wants to give them a feel of what the future holds for them” a source close to the coach told Owngoalnigeria.com

“The practice is not entirely new to Nigeria football but it has not just been in use the last few years, Kanu Nwankwo trained with the Super Eagles before World Cup 94 just after the Under-17 World Cup, In 2008 Rabiu Ibrahim trained with the Super Eagles too after winning the Under-17 World Cup.

“It’s usually the standard practice worldwide and Salisu Yusuf wants to introduce it here because it increases the player’s profile, works on their confidence which could in the long run help their career grow”.

Owngoalnigeria.com can exclusively report that Nigeria will hand senior national team call-up to the duo of Chuba Akpom of Arsenal and Ovie Ejaria of Liverpool, when the list of players for the 2017 AFCON Qualifiers game against Tanzania is released.

Already Salisu Yusuf who is the head coach of the team in the absence of a foreign technical adviser has told close friends and associates that the duo are in his plans for the September 2nd tie against Tanzania, if he is still in charge.

Akpom who has represented England at various youth level, turned down the chance to represent Nigeria at senior level when he was first approached but recent reports suggest he has had a change of mind.

Ejaria trained with the Nigeria Under-17s team of 2013, that had the likes of Manchester City wonder kid Kelechi Iheanacho and Watford record signing but left the camp on the insistence of his former club Arsenal.

” Akpom and Ejaria will no doubt be in the team for the Tanzania game, Yusuf has already confirmed he will call them up if they are willing to commit to Nigeria” One of his aides told Owngoalnigeria.com.

” Akpom according to the NFF has indicated interest to play for Nigeria but Ejaria we are yet to establish contact with him but since he trained with the Under-17 in 2013, we are confident he wants to play for Nigeria”.

Former Tottenham Nigeria youth International Musa Yahaya, has started training with his new team FC Porto after arriving Portugal this week alongside fellow Mutunchi Academy prospect Moses John.

However they are presently not part of the first team according to their agent Babawo Mohammed, they are presently with the B team of the Portuguese giants, the reigning champions of the second division in Portugal.

Yahaya spent time on loan to Portimonense from Tottenham Hotspurs last season before he was bought over by the team, who in turn traded him off to FC Porto at the start of the summer transfer window as exclusively reported by Owngoalnigeria.com

John was signed by the Portuguese giants after impressing scouts of the team during a scouting tournament organised by Babawo Mohammed in conjunction with Gee-Lec Football Academy.

“Just like Chidozie Awaziem, who is now an established member of the first team, they will be with the B team before making the step up to the main team if they impress the technical crew”.

Manager of Arsenal Arsene Wenger, has played down suggestions that Nigerian duo of Alex Iwobi and Chuba Akpom could lead Arsenal attack next season, before key players reach the require fitness level to challenge for a spot in the team.

Former Nasarawa United forward Malachy Ilo yesterday started trials with Israeli top division side Kiryat Shmona in his bid to secure a deal, Owngoalnigeria.com understands.

Kiryat Shmona are in the market for a forward after losing their Nigerian forward Austin Amutu, who left for Turkey and Ilo could earn a deal with the 2012 Israeli Champions if he impresses the handlers during training and trial games.

Ilo was on the books of Nasarawa United during the first stanza of the league in Nigeria, but left after a disagreement with the team management before the start of the second round of the league.

21 year old Ilo trained with Kiryat Shmona yesterday and will also join them in training today, with a test game been agreed to test the forward in real match situation before the end of this week.
