WERDER BREMEN JOIN RACE FOR FANENDO ADI

Werder Bremen have reportedly joined the number of clubs jostling to sign one time Super Eagles invitee Fanendo Adi this summer.
The German Bundesliga are looking for a forward to boost their attacking line after narrowly escaping relegation to the second division in Germany in the just concluded Bundesliga.
They are already planning to avoid a repeat of last season poor goal return and over reliance on their 37 year old striker Claudio Pizzaro who finished as their top scorer with 14 goals.
25 year old Nigerian forward Anthony Ujah who joined them last summer weigh in 11 goals but despite reaching double digit goals he endured a near three months goal drought which many believed informed their decision to look for options to bolster their attack.
However Adi won’t come cheap and he is also on the radar of so many teams in Europe this summer with Werder Bremen one among the six teams linked with a bid for him this summer.
Adi who currently plays for Portland Timbers in the MLS is also rumoured to be on the summer transfer wishlist of Celtic and Rangers of Scotland with French side St. Etienne also said to be weighing up a bid for the 25 year old.
West Ham United and fellow English Premiership side Crystal Palace also have their eyes on the forward who has 8 goals in the MLS from the first 12 games of the season as he bids to better his last season tally of 18 goals.
