NFF President Pinnick Confirms- We No Longer Want Jose Peseiro As Super Eagles Coach

0

The Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) has moved on from the idea of appointing Portuguese coach Jose Peseiro as first revealed by OwnGoalNigeria.com.

President of the NFF Amaju Pinnick revealed that talks on appointing him as substantive  coach of the Nigerian team stalled due to disagreement on certain clauses in the deal.

In an interview Pinnick said an agreement wasn’t reached with the coach after the initial approval of his appointment as terms of the deal wasn’t signed and it will stay same.

We gathered, the coach was keen on bringing his backroom staff after initial agreeing to work with the ones provided for him by the NFF. He didn’t stop there as unlike sacked former coach Gernot Rohr he wanted the NFF to pick up the bills of his assistants.

Because of that he amended the already agreed deal that was sent to him to sign and return back to the football house. In amending it he demanded for more money to cater for the assistants he is bringing to work with him.

Upon receiving the amended contract draft from Peseiro, the NFF felt uncomfortable in engaging him as he has already started off on the wrong foot by going against what was verbally agreed with him. It’s why he wasn’t in Cameroon as said in the press release that confirmed him as coach of the Nigerian team.

Pinnick has already given his blessings to Peseiro that he can go ahead and get another job as the NFF won’t be appointing him as coach due to the aforementioned issues.

It means Austine Eguavoen will now take charge of the Super Eagles for their World Cup 2022 playoff game against Ghana in March. An announcement is said to be imminent.

Decision To Drop Lorient Man Of The Moment Bonke From Super Eagles AFCON Squad Shocks Rohr

Former coach of the senior national team of Nigeria Gernot Rohr says the decision of the Super Eagles technical crew not to include Innocent Bonke in the Super Eagles squad for the 2021 Africa Cup of Nations came as a shock to him.

Rohr handed Bonke his competitive debut while he was still in Sweden turning out for Malmö and prior to his sack included the 26 year old in his preliminary list of players for the Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON).

Following the sacking of Rohr, the new technical crew led by Austine Eguavoen didn’t include him in the list of players for the tournament, where Nigeria crashed out in the round of 16 losing 0-1 to Tunisia.

Bonke moved to French Ligue 1 side Lorient in the January transfer window and in his first start for the team he showed why he is on the way to becoming one of the first names on the team sheet for games.

Speaking on his adaptation, Rohr said he saw the same qualities hence his debut for the Nigerian team away to Cape Verde, where they won 2-1 in the World Cup qualifiers.

” He has energy to go up the pitch and also has tactical awareness to close it at the back. We saw him in the UEFA Champions League for Malmö and his quality won us over. He love to tackle and he doesn’t shy away from duels in the air. I was shock when he didn’t make the Nigerian team to AFCON”, the coach said

Napoli Coach Spalletti Reveals How To Make Osimhen Score More Goals After Scoring Against Venezia

0

Head coach of Napoli Luciano Spalletti is pleased to see club record signing Victor Osimhen get back among the goals after a lengthy absence due to a facial injury.

Osimhen scored his tenth goal in 17 games in all competitions with the second goal for Napoli in their 2-0 win over Venezia taking them back to second spot on the Serie A table.

Spalletti says the Nigeria international striker has it in him to score more goals before the end of the season if the team plays to his strength as seen in the move that led to the header he scored yesterday.

“He has the qualities”, Spalletti told DAZN. We have to improve in serving him, not always dribble and not put the defenders in a position to defend on his qualities. In the first half we played too much on the feet and little in space forcing him to have the entire opposing team around”, he explained.

The coach will be hoping Osimhen keeps his scoring run going when they take on league leaders Inter Milan who are currently one point ahead of them on the Serie A log.

Amuneke as first reported by this portal had been added to the Austine Eguavoen led crew as part of the move by the NFF to beef up the technical crew ahead of the World Cup playoff against Ghana in March.

We gathered he will be part of the assistant of Eguavoen who will work on a mandate to deliver the World Cup ticket to Nigeria. Amuneke however denied that he has been offered the chance of joining the crew.

In an interview with Sporting Sun, the coach who is back in Spain after working for CAF  as part of the technical study group at the recently concluded Africa Cup of Nations said no contact has been made so far. Although he said he will make a decision when he is contacted.

“I’m not aware of any appointment with the Super Eagles or any job with the Nigerian government. I just return to my base in Spain from the CAF Technical Study Group duty at the Africa Cup of Nations in Cameroon and I read the story of my appointment from the Internet,” he was quoted as saying by Sporting Sun Emma Jemegah.

“I was in the team’s hotel in Cameroon countless times and there was no time the appointment was discussed with me. Right now, nobody has contacted me, not even the NFF or the Sports Ministry. Until an offer is made, I will rather not talk on that,” he sounded off.

Ex Super Eagles Coach Oliseh Opens Up – I Was Sacked For Winning Too Many Matches

0

Former captain and coach of the senior national team of Nigeria Sunday Oliseh has opened up on the reason behind his controversial exit from Dutch side Fortuna Sittard.

Oliseh took over the second division team at a time when they were struggling to beat the drop to the third division. He kept them up spectacularly by almost sneaking into a promotion play off spot. That earned him an extended stay at the club.

The next season which was his first full season at the club saw them go top of the table but he was relieved off his role as coach in controversial fashion with the club saying it’s due to non sporting reasons. They ended up gaining promotion to the top division that same season.

Speaking on what led to his exit, Oliseh who said his only regret was a post he made on Twitter about his departure from the club revealed that , he was sacked because after winning so much matches he is entitled to a huge bonus which the team might struggle to pay him.

“The owner never expected that so many matches would be won and certainly not that a period championship would be won. My monthly salary was not high, but with good results there would be hefty bonuses. It was hundreds of thousands of euros.”

“When I started to ask what I was entitled to, suddenly I was no longer good. Do you really think you can get such good results if you don’t have a good relationship with the players?” Oliseh asked.

Oliseh watched on as the team finished second behind Jong Ajax to gain promotion to the Dutch top division in a season where he set the base for their success. He took the club to the Dutch arbitration for compensation for the job he did but lost out due to a post he made on social media after his exit.

“I laid the foundation for the promotion and I haven’t received a cent of promotion premium yet. But it’s not even about the money for me. It just feels unfair how I’ve been treated”, he explained.

“I have also been approached by Roda JC and FC Köln in the meantime, but I have my principles. I only regret a tweet I posted after my resignation, in which I tried to tell my side of the story to make things clear. I shouldn’t have done that”, he admitted.

No Chance – Crystal Palace Olise Slams Door On Playing For Nigeria, Keen On Representing Algeria

0

Crystal Palace midfielder Michael Olise isn’t thinking of committing his international future to Nigeria as he has his sights fixed on representing either France or Algeria, OwnGoalNigeria.com can exclusively reveal.

Olise once again showed his usefulness to the course of Crystal Palace this season with another man of the match performance in their FA Cup win over Hartlepool. He assisted and scored in the 2-0 win.

His representative told OwnGoalNigeria.com that since he was invited by ex coach of the Super Eagles Gernot Rohr without talks on representing Nigeria. A lot has changed from then to now particularly following the exit of the coach.

” Olise sees a chance with Algeria or France as the next step in his international career. Nigeria called him up without a commitment from him to play for them. The coach is no longer there but Algeria have maintained contact. No chance of playing for Nigeria anytime soon”, he told OwnGoalNigeria.com.

Meanwhile coach of Crystal Palace Patrick Viera says Olise still has some aspect of this game that requires improvement but did insist that he is on the right track in terms of his development.

“The more games he will play will help him to improve,” Vieira told reporters at full-time. “There are some tactical elements in the game he needs to understand. The decisions he makes defensively and offensively will make him a better player.

“We want him to be decisive in the last 30 yards and he has the quality to do that. He was really dangerous today and could’ve scored more today and made better decisions. That will come with more experience and playing more games”, he concluded.

NFF- Why We Haven’t Confirm Eguavoen As New Super Eagles Coach Despite U-turn On Peseiro

0

The Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) has explained why they haven’t made a definite statement on Austine Eguavoen staying on as coach of the senior national team of Nigeria.

Eguavoen was named as interim coach for the Africa Cup of Nations with Jose Peseiro announced as the man to take over immediately after the tournament, but it appears there is a change of plans regarding the head coach role.

Nigeria crashed out of the AFCON in the round of 16 and Eguavoen revealed that he will be back in his role as technical director, however a breakdown in talks with Peseiro could see him stay on as coach of the team at least for the World Cup qualifiers playoff against Ghana.

For now the idea is to beef up the technical crew with the addition of Emmanuel Amunike as one of the assistants ahead of the World Cup playoff. Though it’s public knowledge, an announcement is yet to be made on the next step forward.

” We just received the technical report of the AFCON tournament last week. It will go a long way in determining our next step. We also have to work out terms of Eguavoen’s contract but short terms and long term. Yes we have plans to engage Amunike as well but in a capacity that has to be defined in order for them all to have a smooth working relationship”, a chieftain of the NFF told OwnGoalNigeria.com.

Amazing strategies that make you a pro in football betting

0

Whether your aim in soccer betting is to make the games more enjoyable or generate money, one thing in particular: soccer betting is not simple. Now for the good news: you’ve arrived at the correct location.

In this football betting strategy for novices, we describe seven fundamental criteria to successful แทงบอล betting that apply to both the NFL and college games. Thus, we have simplified everything and keep in mind that this is a beginner’s guide. Okay, let’s get started with the first of our strategic secrets to football betting for novices.

Over/Under 2.5 Goals:

It is a simple and uncomplicated betting method in which you choose a series of matches on a slip and decide whether they will finish above or below the betting line. Of course, like with any gamble, none of this is set in stone, and there are no 100 percent certainties.

However, this is a 50/50 one-match shot choice preferable to a 1 of 3 shot on a match outcome (W/D/W). You can find all betting methods on statistics, and in this case, you may base your selection on the average number of goals scored and allowed per game by Team A throughout the home season. The average of goals scored and allowed by team B is calculated, and the lowest and maximum average of goals. A value exists beyond the target line if the sum is high enough.

Setting Correct Scores:

Bettors can create green books on their bets at betting exchanges worldwide. It is where you may, for example, affirm a pick in a match and then, during in-game action, make a different option that will defeat the original bet. You will promote a profit regardless of the outcome if you get the betting pricing.

You can win a game by accomplishing more than one in-game goal. For example, although the payout is generally few. So, you can go ahead and set the score of 00 on the game, and as long as you assess the responsibility in terms of odds on the alternatives you choose, you may make a lot of money.

You might pick a match that is highly unlikely to conclude at 00 and put the tie before kickoff alternatively. You can return to the in-game draw as soon as scoring a goal.

Football Value Bets:

There are several lessons to be learned from football value bets. It implies you’re not seeking a particular team to achieve a result; instead, you’re just browsing a bookmaker to locate odds that the bookmaker has undervalued. It is simple to compute the % probability of victory that a bookmaker has assigned to a team. Take four divided by 1, plus one, then divide by one hundred if you have a 4/1 squad to win a game.

There is a 20% probability that the team will win in this situation. You can determine your fair value with a few studies on form and heads-up form. So if you believe the team has a 40% probability of winning the game. It indicates the bookmaker has them completely undervalued where you can cash out since the bookie has overpriced them.

It is a time-consuming approach since you must examine various statistics. It looks for the highest profit rates rather than a slow and constant profit.

Swedish Side Mjällby Backs Silas Nwankwo On Age Cheat Allegations – That’s Rubbish

0

Top division Swedish side Mjällby have rubbished claims that their new signing Silas Nwankwo lied over his age following claims that he isn’t 18 years old.

The forward joined the Swedish side from Nigeria Professional League side Nasarawa United after finishing with 19 goals in the Nigerian league last season. The feat earned him the move to Mjällby.

Upon his announcement, talks went wild on his age with many claiming that he isn’t 18 but the club say the allegations are wide off the mark and they have full confidence that he is indeed 18 years old.

Hasse Larsson, the Head of sports at Mjällby, spoke to Swedish Public Radio on the age-cheating matter.

“That’s rubbish. We have full confidence in his management and that his age is right. We have no intention of taking this further”, he said shortly after their 3-2 win over BK Olympic. Nwankwo made his debut in the game.

Huesca Ban Kelechi Nwakali From Training, Club Captain Blast His Attitude And Commitment

0

Kelechi Nwakali has been fined and also barred from training by Spanish second division side Huesca after arriving late from the Africa Cup of Nations as they ponder on terminating his contract.

Per a report on Heraldo, the midfielder wasn’t part of the group of players who took part in training yesterday despite the fact that he posted a picture of himself in the club’s colour at the training ground.

According to the report, Nwakali met with the hierarchy of the club on Wednesday to explain why he returned late from the Africa Cup of Nations, but his excuses didn’t convince the club hence the decision to fine him.

Furthermore he won’t be part of their group training until a decision is taken on his future which might include a pardon or termination of his contract which expires on the 30th of June.

His role in the team for future games is also under question as only coach Xisco Munoz can decide on playing him for the rest of the season. He is however not in the squad for the game on Sunday against Mirandes.

Nwakali’s attitude hasn’t impressed his teammates as well with captain Jorge Pulido questioning his commitment to their cause to gain promotion at the end of the season. ” I hope he gives a good explanation over his absence because those of us who work here every day deserve it”, he said on Tuesday.

Still on the issue of Nwakali, sporting director of the team Ruben Garcia alluded to the fact that the Nigerian need to show more commitment, if he wants to succeed.

” It’s in his head to be here, contribute and be professional since we would be delighted if he has a change of attitude”, he explained yesterday.
