The January signing didn’t make his debut last season due to a knock picked up in his second training session with the team, following his January transfer from Slovakian side AS Trenčín.

He is now fully recovered and made the trip to South Africa, where he wasted no time in making his mark with a screamer in training during a shooting drill.

The video of the goal went viral, and it wasn’t a surprise when he made his debut as a second half substitute in their 1-3 defeat to South Africa side Mamelodi Sundowns.

Sani is seen within the club as the outright replacement for Yan Diomande who has been linked with a summer transfer from the club, before the end of the transfer window.

Banik Ostrava of Czech Republic defender Abdullahi Bewane has been handed a maiden call up to the senior national team of Nigeria for Wednesday’s friendly game against Poland, OwnGoalNigeria.com reports.

The 21 year old was drafted into the squad by head coach Eric Chelle to make up for the absence of Alhassan Yusuf and Samson Tijjani, who could not secure visas to Poland for the game.

Bewane showed last season that he can play in various roles, playing 28 times as a right midfielder, eight as a right back and twice in the role behind the main striker.

His versatility meant he could do a job for the Super Eagles with several withdrawals in the midfield and defence ahead of the game in the Polish city of Warsaw.

Forget Summer Transfer, Osimhen Doesn’t Play Super Eagles Friendly Games

0

Head coach of the senior national team of Nigeria Eric Chelle caused an uproar in Turkey when he suggested that top striker Victor Osimhen won’t be available for the senior national team of Nigeria for their upcoming friendly games against Poland and Portugal respectively, because of a possible transfer from Galatasaray when the window opens in the summer.

His quotes didn’t sit properly with fans of Galatasaray, forcing Osimhen to clear the air with a post on Instagram saying the coach was quoted out of context, and he stays committed to represent the Turkish side.

Chelle’s statement that has now been denied by Osimhen could be true, but it’s also only normal to point out that Victor Osimhen has not played a single friendly game for Super Eagles since the 2-2 draw against Saudi Arabia in 2023.

In between that time he has missed 13 friendly games of the team for various reasons. The games against Poland and Portugal respectively will make it 15 straight friendly games that he has skipped.

His teammates are aware of his constant excuse to skip friendly games, but not Chelle who has a very close relationship with Osimhen and always back his star man in any decision that he takes.

Head coach of the Nigerian team Eric Chelle wasted no time in adding him to his squad for the friendly games against Poland and Portugal respectively, but the 24 year old won’t be available.

Sources said he is expected to complete a transfer in the coming days to a team in the English Premier League, and will need the June break to speak and sort things out with his representatives.

Newly promoted Ipswich Town failed with a bid for his signing, but teams like Aston Villa, Bournemouth and Leeds United are said to be also in the race for his signing in the summer transfer window.

Chelle – Osimhen Want To Leave Galatasaray This Summer

0

Head coach of the senior national team of Nigeria Eric Chelle has revealed that top striker Victor Osimhen has plans of leaving Galatasaray in the summer transfer window, OwnGoalNigeria.com reports.

Chelle made this known while explaining the reason why Osimhen and his strike partner Ademola Lookman won’t be available for the upcoming friendly games against Poland and Portugal respectively.

He said Osimhen was left out because he intends to switch teams this summer. A statement that will no doubt angered the Turkish side who have constantly insist that he is not sale.

” We have two games Poland and Portugal and I have lot of problem because some players don’t have visa for it. The most important we will miss two players because Victor Osimhen will maybe change a club, we prefer that he stays in his house, because if he plays he might not be 100 percent”, he said at the post match.
