Italy Or Super Eagles – Chelle Get Timeline On Kayode’s International Future

Brentford defender Michael Kayode is one player that head coach of the senior national team of Nigeria Eric Chelle has high on his list of players he wants to commit to his team, OwnGoalNigeria.com reports.

Born in Italy to parents of Nigerian descent, the 21 year old is having a stellar season with Brentford, and as expected it had brought up discussions about his international future as he is still eligible for Nigeria despite representing Italy at different youth levels.

Chelle already made approaches to the defender, and will once again pitch his case at the end of the season but that is entirely dependant on what head coach of the Italian national team Gennaro Gattuso does.

If Gattuso calls Kayode for their upcoming world cup qualifiers playoff, then that will be it for Nigeria. However if otherwise then the meeting at the end of the season will be pivotal to his international future.

For now there is no clear indication that he will be in the team, leaving the door open for a possible switch of Nationality to Nigeria.

Zadok Turning Heads In Sweden Six Months After Joining From Nigerian Club

Top division Sweden side AIK signed 18-year old winger Zadok Yohanna from Kaduna based academy Ikon Allah FA in July of 2025 in a deal seen by top scouts as a huge coup.

The left footed ace showed glimpses of his promises after playing only 139 minutes in the second half of last season following his transfer. A form he maintained in pre season.

Now into the new season, and in the group stages of the cup this season he has started to put up numbers. He had 1 assist after being on the bench against IK Oddevold.

He then was in the starting eleven against BK Häcken and scored 2 goals to send AIK to the quarterfinals. The manner which he scored both goals has sent the whole country into a frenzy.

Zadok scored the first by cutting in from the right evading his markers with ease before curling home a low effort from the edge of the box. His second goal he should quick instinct to be able to generate power with his effort.

Already it has been speculated that he won’t last long in the league, with his performances already alerting Europe’s elite.

Fulham Undecided On Permanent Deal For Super Eagles Ace

No contact has been made with AC Milan by English Premier League side Fulham on the permanent signing of Nigeria international Samuel Chukwueze, OwnGoalNigeria.com can exclusively reveal.

Chukwueze is on a season long loan deal from AC Milan to the English Premier League side, who have the option of making the deal permanent at the end of the season based on the performances of the Nigerian.

Any potential deal will see Fulham pay a fee in the region of €28m to AC Milan including bonuses, but for now no contact has been made with nine games left before the season ends.

With three goals and four assists in 15 games in the English Premier League, it’s fair to say the 26 year old has done enough to earn a permanent stay at the club but it isn’t expected to be straightforward.

Sources say Fulham will look to lower the transfer fee if they are to make the deal permanent. AC Milan are expected to be open to the idea but for a fee not less than €20m.

On his part Chuckwueze is well settled in London, and would do everything in his power to remain at the club including taking a pay cut.

Super Eagles Star Close In On Fresh Deal With English Side After Six Wins

Frank Onyeka is close to penning a permanent deal with English Championship side Coventry City who are closing in on promotion to the English Premier League after their six consecutive win following a 3-0 win over Preston, OwnGoalNigeria.com.

Onyeka joined the team on loan from Brentford in the January transfer window, and has since played in six games all of which they have won to cement their spot as the league leaders.

Former coach of the senior national team of Nigeria Gernot Rohr has lifted the lid on how close Bayern Munich star Michel Olise came to playing for the senior national team of Nigeria five years ago, OwnGoalNigeria.com reports.

In March 2021 , Rohr was then the coach of the senior national team of Nigeria called Olise who was then playing for Reading in the English Championship to the team in his list of 24 players for the AFCON qualifiers against against Benin Republic and Lesotho.

” The virus played a huge role because he was willing to come. There was no football for a while and when he moved to the English Premier League at the end of that season. He had other options and decided to take it. I am happy he is doing well”, Rohr said.

Moffi Scores, Zaidu Assist For Porto In Europa League Win Over Stuttgart

The Super Eagles duo of Terem Moffi and Zaidu Sanusi played a huge role for FC Porto in their 2-1 win over German side Stuttgart in the first leg of their round of 16 game in the Europa League, OwnGoalNigeria.com reports.

Moffi who is on loan from French Ligue 1 side Nice opened scoring with a thunderous right foot effort inside the box to hand his team the lead in the 21st minute.

Two Players In Super Eagles Petition To FIFA Dropped From Latest DR Congo Squad

The coach of DR Congo Sebastian Desabre has named his list of players for the upcoming intercontinental world cup qualifiers playoff in Mexico, OwnGoalNigeria.com reports.

DR Congo qualified to represent Africa at the playoff where they will be two tickets to the world cup, by beating Nigeria in a penalty shoot out in the final of the African playoff in November 2025.

Nigeria filed a protest to world football governing body FIFA, claiming that a host of players in the DR Congo team are not eligible to play in the game, because they hold dual nationality.

In the petition which was leaked by veteran Nigerian journalist Osasu Obayiuwana on social media platform X, the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) were particular on three players and suggested a possible document forgery.

“It should be added for context that at least three of these players with unrenounced Belgian nationality (Michel-Ange Balikwisha, Mario Stroeykens, and Matheu Epolo) received their final clearance to play for DRC between November 11 and 12, 2025, just before the play-off match against Nigeria on November 16, 2025,” the complaint read.

In yesterday’s squad that was made public, the duo of Michel-Ange Balikwisha and Mario Stroeykens, two of the players Nigeria specifically highlighted in its formal complaint to FIFA over alleged eligibility breaches were not included.

The reason behind their exclusion was not made public by the coach, leaving many to suggest that it has something to do with the petition on their eligibility by Nigeria.

Europa League Hotshot Lands On Radar Of Super Eagles Coach Eric Chelle

Ferencváros of Hungary winger Bamidele Yusuf has played his way into the plans of head coach of the senior national team of Nigeria Eric Chelle with his performances in the Europa league, OwnGoalNigeria.com can exclusively reveal.

Carragher – Konate Couldn’t Handle Osimhen

Liverpool legend Jamie Carragher says Ibrahima Konate had no answers to the brute force and pace of Nigeria international striker Victor Osimhen in their UEFA Champions League round of 16 game against Galatasaray, OwnGoalNigeria.com reports.
